Happy Birthday, Buddy and Hank!

Happy birthday to Buddy and Hank! These two goofballs are 2 years old today and just as cute as ever. I brought Buddy and Hank home when they were 4 months old and honestly could not resist these two little trouble makers. They're brothers, best friends, partners in crime, and the sweetest companions a gal could have.

I'm so happy I have these two little critters in my life. They make me laugh and smile my face off every single day with their cuteness, sweetness, and crazy antics.

Happy birthday, Buddy and Hank! You guys are the best!

XOXO

Buddy and Hank!

Hey guys! Guess what! Today is a very special day. It's Buddy and Hank's adopt-a-versary! Yep, just 1 year ago, I brought these cute little guys home. So, today I'd love to share a little bit about how I got these little guys, and obviously share a bunch of cat pictures with you.
When I got Buddy and Hank (Buddy is the orange one and Hank is the black one, if you're wondering), I was not expecting to adopt kittens. I specifically went to the shelter looking for one adult cat. Yep, I went for ONE adult cat, and I came home with TWO 3 month old kittens.
When I went to the shelter, I was greeted by the CUTEST little orange kitten I had ever seen. He was a little bit fluffy, really interested in visiting, and had this cute little almost silent meow. I reeeeeeally wanted to hang out with that little guy, but I didn't come for a kitten, so I had to pull myself away!
I visited with quite a few adult cats, but none of them really felt like mine, you know? So I relented, and decided to visit that cute little orange kitten and his scrappy black and white brother.
Oh my gosh, you guys. I was in love the minute I picked them up. They were the sweetest little guys who loved to play and snuggle, and really seemed to love each other. They also seemed to really like me, and honestly, they felt like mine, so they obviously had to come home with me!
After filling out the paperwork and all that, my mom and I loaded the little guys into their carrier and began the drive home. It was hands down, one of the worst drives I had ever had! The kittens were TERRIFIED of being in the car; they yowled, and hyper-ventilated, and dug at the bottom of the carrier. Guys, it was rough. Once we got them to my house, they settled in a bit, but it honestly took a good week or two to do so completely. They were so sweet, and SO cute, but it took a while for us to get used to each other.
I'm so glad that I stuck it out during those rough weeks, because Buddy and Hank are the best! They're seriously the sweetest little guys.
Hank is quite possibly the friendliest cat I have ever met. He wants to be your new best friend the second you walk in to the house. He purrs all the time, meows at me every morning to pick him up, plays fetch (seriously), and has a whole lot to say. He also gets into plenty of mischief.
Buddy is just the sweetest. The picture above is part of the cuddle routine that happens almost every morning as soon as I wake up. Buddy cuddles a ton, can't get enough belly rubs, and claps when he wants things (basically the cutest thing you've ever seen). I really feel like Buddy picked me that day at the shelter a year ago. He's a shy little guy when he's around new people, but is so sweet and friendly when you get to know him. It sounds kinda dumb to say, but he feels like a kindred spirit.
They are totally partners in crime, and spend a lot of the day running around playing together, cuddling together, and getting into all sorts of trouble.
Buddy and Hank are the best furry friends a girl could have. They are such loving little critters, and make me smile and laugh every day. I'm so glad I brought them home a year ago and I couldn't imagine life without them.

Do you have any good stories about your favorite furry friends?

Til next time!
