Boy oh boy is it cold! Ok, I know it's well colder in plenty of places, but Seattle hasn't seen temperatures above 36°F for the past week. In fact, when I took these photos it was 25°! We rarely get more than a few days below freezing here, so I'm counting this as real chilly. I wish I could have shown you guys this darling Boden dress in its full glory, but I couldn't bring myself to take off my coat. Heck, I could barely bring myself to go outside to take photos in the first place!
Well, most of my weekend was spent inside cozying up and working on projects. I can proudly say that I've officially made a solid dent in my homemade gifting endeavors, and am totally loving working on them! Are you guys having luck getting your gifts together?
Work has started to pick up again, so I'm officially in overtime season. If you guys don't see me around your blogs quite as much the next couple of weeks, that will be why! Even though work is busy, I'm definitely getting into the holiday spirit and am enjoying more holiday treats, making some fun holiday plans, listening to Christmas music, and finding myself dressing a bit more festively.
A great example would be this outfit! I got this dress for my birthday a few months ago, and didn't wear it much the first couple of months I had it. Now that we're nearing the holidays, though, I find that I'm wearing it all the time! I love the bright red color and since it's a bit of a blank canvas I'm having tons of fun pairing different tights, shoes, accessories, and hair styles with it.
Do you guys find you get into holiday dressing mode? Also, hey! How was your weekend?
Til next time!
-Becca
This dress is perfect for getting in the holiday spirit and you're right about it being a blank canvas- so many remixing possibilities! I hope we get to see your handmade gifts! After they are given, of course… :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa! I've seriously been wearing it so much. I'll definitely try to get in a post sharing all of my handmade gifts after they've all been given!

ReplyDeleteThank you! Seriously! Between working 10 hour days, making my presents, and blogging I've barely got a spare minute. I more or less took the day off on Saturday and it was glorious.
DeleteThe bright red is such a festive colour. The dress looks gorgeous on you, and oh my, I really adore your polka dot tights! I want a pair too!
ReplyDeleteAnd no, I'm not having luck getting my gifts together. In fact, I still have to buy ALL my presents and have no clue on what I should buy. And there's only 2 more weeks to go (I'm panicking!)
I hope you'll have a great week at work!

Thank you so much, lady! Isn't it a great coat? I've had it for about 6 years and even though it's starting to fall apart, I'll probably never stop loving it. I hope you had some luck with your outfit photos. I keep wishing i could figure out a good spot for some indoor photos...
DeleteI know how you feel about the awful weather! It's been down to the single digits here and I can hardly bare it!! Love those cute tights though :)

DeleteLove the polka-dot tights with that dress! I am absolutely ready for holiday dressing-up--sadly I have nowhere to go yet!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I wear dresses every day already so I'm finding that I just go about a step fancier than my usual look for work. It's worth a shot! I'm going to see The Nutcracker this weekend so I'll do some serious dressing up then!
