Weekly Wardrobe- Warmer Days

Ok, guys, real talk: these photos were taken a few weeks ago. Yes, a few weeks ago it was, in fact, warm enough to be outdoors in just a t-shirt. Those days have passed at this point, and I'm piling on more and more layers. Most of the leaves have turned and are falling off the trees, and the daylight hours have shortened substantially.

But you know what? I love it. AND I totally love this outfit. Just add a sweater, a scarf, and a jacket, and this is totally perfect for the current fall weather!

Speaking of chilly weather, it was pretty darn chilly this weekend! And ya know what? It lent itself perfectly to my lazy lazy weekend. I did a whole lot of nothing this weekend, and it was awesome!  I got sick last week and got some news at work that is going to make this holiday season extra hectic, so I was really happy to have the opportunity to lay low.

While, I was realllll lazy, I did get some awesome stuff done. I came up with not one, but three Halloween costume ideas (finally!), made a delicious cake, which I will obviously share with you later this week, found an amazing 60s vintage dress at Trove Vintage that I couldn't leave without, did laundry, cleaned the house a bit, and started crocheting a new scarf! Ok, maybe I was busier than I thought...

Anyway, it was a wonderfully semi-lazy weekend, and I'm excited for the week ahead!

How was your weekend?

Til next time!

  7. OH my goodness I could die over how amazing that skirt is. I mean... is there a more perfect skirt? I don't think so. You look amazing!!!
I'm so glad you had a nice lazy weekend, even with the stuff you DID get done! I love those kinds of weekends, where you don't HAVE to do anything, so you get all the fun stuff done. (or the things that just feel good to accomplish, like cleaning.)
This weekend was really busy for us! But good. We're having lots of fun with my husband's brother and his family being back for a 10 month furlough from Ukraine (they're missionaries there), and then on Sunday we went to see the results of the 72 hour film festival we participated (and we WON! That was a rush!), and I definitely ate a lot more junk than I should have. But it was good. :)
    Happy Monday!

  9. This outfit is adorable, and I can definitely see many ways to layer on winter pieces! It would look gorgeous with some bright tights, knee high boots, a cropped sweater, and a circle scarf!

  10. Becca, I had one of those lazy weekends as well. I did get outdoors on Saturday and enjoyed the gorgeous fall weather with my husband & son. First, we ate at a very popular BBQ place (pulled chicken sandwiches and potato salad... go ahead and say it-YUM!), then we ventured to a Berry Farm that also has an apple orchard and pumpkin patch (story/pictures on my blog). After picking a peck of apples and a pumpkin, we drove home where I rolled up my sleeves and dove into making apple dumplings w/ caramel sauce (recipes on my blog). I also made white chicken chili and cornbread (Yes, I live in the south). Sunday was more of a lazy day after church. I have made it a rule around my home: No working on Sundays. Enjoy more of those lazy days... they come few and far between in this hectic world we call home.

    Have a Beautiful week!

  15. Love that skirt so much!! Sounds like a good mix of lazy and productive- actually doesn't sound lazy at all from the list of things you accomplished :) I like making a list of things I did over the weekend, sometimes I surprise myself with how productive I was when it didn't feel like it!

    1. Thanks, Lisa! Haha, you're right. So much of it was hobby stuff that it still felt like I didn't get anything done. I like it when it works out that way.
