Looking Back at October!
Well, look at me go! Actually doing a monthly round-up right after the months ends! Good job, Becca!
Well, October was an interesting month! It was gorgeous as gorgeous could be, was filled with lots of tasty fall treats, and also brought on some good changes. Let's take a look, shall we?
Well, first of all, October was damn tasty! I made Mulled Apple Cider, Fennel Panna Cotta with Spiced Pears, and a couple of tasty pumpkin recipes (here and here), obvs. Really, with the exception of this Halloween dessert, the month was all about warm, tasty spices, and fall flavors. And lots of sweets. I'll make something savory in November, promise!
Things were a bit more low key on the DIY front this month, but I did whip up this pretty Fall Wreath, and also made a super cute Wire Headband. I've also been doing some crocheting recently. I'm not knowledgable at it at all, so you probably won't see any crochet posts any time soon, but it's been really fun whipping up some new scarves!
Kristina, of Eccentric Owl, stopped by to do a guest post where she shared an amazing DIY for a gorgeous fall Flower Crown! I'll have some more guest bloggers by in November and December, so keep your eyes peeled!
I also had a lot of fun sharing some cute, transitional fall outfits. You can check some of them out here, here, and here!
Oh, and of course, Halloween happened! I was a little lighter on Halloween posts than I intended, but I got in a couple of fun ones! You can check out my Dad's and my adventures in Pumpkin Carving, my Cup of Dirt Halloween Dessert, and a collection of photos of my favorite childhood Halloween Costumes!
I hope you guys had a great October! I'm looking forward to more fun fall style, projects, and recipes in November and can't wait to share them all here with you.
And hey! If you ever have something you'd love to see on Ladyface Blog, give me a holler! I'd love to hear your ideas.
Til next time!
-Becca
