Snow Day!

Well guys, something pretty glorious happened on Saturday night: it snowed!!!!! I know, for most of you snow is old news at this point, but this is the first major snowfall we've had in Seattle this year, so it was pretty exciting!

I've been holed up in bed all weekend with a nasty cold, but I worked up the strength to go for a little walk around my neighborhood on Sunday morning. I had my camera in tow, so I managed to snap a few photos, and was definitely happy to have done so. It was a really lovely morning wandering through my little neighborhood, feeling the snow crunch under my feet, watching kids and dogs running around with glee, and watching the birds flit from tree to tree.

When I got home, I went straight back to bed, but I loved being able to look out the window to see that pretty white snow all day.

XOXO

    1. Haha, thanks, Elyse! Portland had WAY more than we did (ours is 100% gone after some rainfall this morning), but it was fun to have a day of it. I think it would get pretty old if I had it as often as you do!

  5. Gorgeous pictures ^_^ Over in New Jersey we're having a bit of a rough time with the snow, with ice everywhere and even more snowfall on the way, yikes! It's so pretty though, everything blanketed in white, like a proper winter wonderland ^_^ Feel better soon!

  8. Thanks, Marlen. So far I'm feeling worse, which is pretty dumb. I love that in Seattle I get to love the snow. I would totally get sick of it if I lived in your neck of the woods!

    1. Thanks, Elana! It's definitely much easier to appreciate the snow when it only comes round a couple of times a year. I would for sure be sick of it if I were in your neck of the woods!

  14. Such beautiful pics! You definitely don't see that often in the western PNW so I get your excitement. All my family has been snowed in but they haven't been as happy about it ;) Stay warm and I hope you feel better soon!

    1. Thank you! The snow in Seattle left about as quickly as it came. I wish it would have stuck around a bit longer! Thanks for the well wishes. I'm definitely feeling better!
