Weekend Wardrobe and 100th Post!

Sweater: Forever 21; Necklace: Woodii; Belt: Anthropologie/Similar; Skirt: Lucky Vintage/Similar; Shoes: ModCloth

Despite the warm weather we've had in Seattle all week, fall is definitely on its way. There's a beautiful golden cast to the evening light, the leaves are starting to turn, and it's gotten too cool at night to keep the windows open.

Since it's really just warm midday and actually quite chilly in the mornings and evenings, I've been starting to sneak cool weather clothes into my wardrobe. Tights have been making appearances in the evenings, I'm starting to bust out some slightly cozy tops, and I have no concern about wearing a wool skirt. This outfit is a great example of that!

I'm really getting into full fall day-dreaming mode. I'm dreaming of brisk walks on crisp days, walking bundled up through the outdoor flea market with a good friend and a warm drink in hand, staying in on rainy days drinking hot chocolate while listening to records, and making up big heaping pots of comfort food.

Oh fall, you're the best. What are you guys looking forward to for fall?

In other news, this is my 100th blog post, and in another month I will have been blogging for 6 months! How cool is that? I'm totally having a blast blogging and looking forward to my next 100 posts, and even more after that!

Til next time!

  1. Congratulations on your 100th post! I'm so glad that cooler weather is on the way (as much as I love summer, the heat has been so oppressive this year, it's hard to go out!) I'm looking forward to wearing lots of layers and my favourite cosy hat ^_^ That sweater is so lovely, I seriously need to invest in some cute prints.

  6. Congrats on your 100th post! Wow wow wow!

I'm also reeeeaaally glad it's getting a bit cooler! Pittsburgh had an uncharacteristically hot summer and I'm enjoying the comfortable weather, for sure. I'm happy that I can run outside again. I'm so prone to heat exhaustion that I can't really run in the summer.

Anywho, your outfit is the PERFECT fall outfit. It seems to epitomize the fall feeling!

  8. Ooh! That skirt is gorgeous!

I'm really happy that the gloomy weather has come back. I love curling up with a knitting project and a giant cup of tea when it's foggy and rainy. It's hard to beat that!

  23. This may sound rather odd and completely out of the blue, but I really love your glasses. I actually never noticed them in your previous posts, but in this pictures, they really caught my eye. It's a nice frame.
Okay, now get to the point, Sofie. I always like to mix different prints (resulting in many weird looks from my sister), so I really like your outfit. The sweater is super cute and the skirt suits you really well.

  26. I am SO in love with this outfit! I saw a bit of it over on Katie V's blog and iw as SO hoping you'd do an actual post with it! It's perfect! I have a weakness for plaid/tartain/whatever correct pattern term that is skirts. My closet is full of them. But I can't wear them, because pregnant. I'll just have to hunt for some that fit the belly!
But seriously. Love this. That shirt is adorable, too!
And congratulations on your 100th post!! I can't wait to see the next 100!
