Weekly Wardrobe and Some Ch-Ch-Changes!

Glasses: BonLook ; Scarf: No idea!/Similar; Sweater: J. Crew; Dress: Fleet Collection from ModCloth; Belt: Anthropologie/Similar; Tights: Nordstrom; Flats: J. Crew

Hey Buddies!

I hope you all had a nice weekend! I decided I needed to slow things down a bit this weekend, and made the executive decision to do absolutely nothing most of Saturday. It was realllllllly nice. I also worked on some quick projects, had some fun on Saturday night, and had a nice dinner with my friend, Nicole, on Sunday. It was a nice, low-key weekend, which is just what I needed!

Speaking of slowing things down, I wanted to let you all know that I'm going to be posting a littttttle bit less than I have been. It won't be anything drastic; I'll just be posting 4 times a week instead of 5.

As we've been heading into the fall months, and the days are getting shorter every single day, I'm finding that I just can't manage to get as many projects done. I mean, the sun's down by 7, so trying to shoot anything after work just ain't happening. As a result, I've been stressing out and dropping a lot of balls. I think posting 4 days a week will be much easier to keep up with and will let me catch up a bit more on non-blog-related life stuff (like cleaning... ahem).

I'm also excited to let you know that I've invited some of my favorite blogging ladies to do guest posts on Ladyface Blog, so look out for those in the coming months! I'm excited to introduce you to these great ladies (if you're not already following along with them)!

I also wanted to check in with you guys and ask, are there any types of posts that you would like to see more of on Ladyface Blog? Any sorts of posts that I'm not currently doing that you would really like to see? If you have anything you would like to see, feel free to let me know in a comment, or as always, you can email me at ladyfaceblog@gmail.com to let me know!

By the way, on top of all of that, I'm working with a friend on some new blog design elements, that I'm really excited about. I can't wait til we finish up and I can update my blog layout!

Anyway, I think it's going to be good. Here's to positive changes and a lovely fall season!

Til next time!

-Becca

  1. i love the bow detail on the back of this dress! and polka dot tights are my fave so obvz i'm into this whole outfit! you look so happy and cute! sounds like there is some great content coming up. i think if you post less as long as it's for quality over quantity then nothing's wrong with that. i have been posting less than i want to but it means i have more time to get the photos i want, say exactly what i want, and make sure i'm not posting just to be posting. also, i don't have time to post everyday much less read other's posts everyday so i just prefer it when people blog about what they love no matter what it is! i hope you get the balance you're looking for— it's definitely hard to give everything proper attention these days <3

  2. I'm glad you took some time to relax this weekend! Saturday was anything but relaxing for me and I crashed hard on Sunday. It's definitely better to feel good about your posts and post less than to feel pressured to add more. I think four times a week is really solid (more than I ever get around to!) and I will love every one of them :) You look lovely! Hope you have a great week!

    1. Guh, cleaning is my least favorite thing. It always feels so much nicer in my place when I do it though. Hope you find some time for it, too!

  7. You are SO pretty. I want that dress. And I have tights just like that, only mine are run-tastic and I feel like I've said that before! I hope switching to four posts a week helps you feel less pressured! I have sort of fallen into a routine of not posting a midweek post, and I think four times a week is so much easier than five! Especially with work (although I don't work full time and it's at home), blogging five days a week can be a hassle. It's really like working two jobs; as much as I love blogging, it totally does take up as much time of my day as my actual job does!
ANYWAY! I can't wait to see everyone else's guest posts, and I'm working on my own right now. Hopefully you like it!
Also, I'm really excited to see your new blog makeover!

  8. good for you, becca. i completely agree with taking the time to slow down in order to keep your sanity, de-stress, and make the posts that you do publish that much better! (a few months ago, i went from publishing 5 times a week to 3, and it was the best decision that i have made in quite awhile!) your readers will follow you no matter how many times you publish. :-)

    see you around!

  12. You look like an elegant librarian. :) (I love the library so I mean that as the highest compliment!) The church as a background is perfect. I've been posting 5 times a week lately as well but going down to 4 could be a really good idea, you're so right about the lighting at this time of the year. Oh, well, I love Fall so I'm okay with that. :)

  14. When I saw the first photo, I thought * I LOVE those tights!! *. Then I payed attention to your whole outfit {which I must say is adorable}, and the really cute details. Like the bow on your dress, the design on your scarf, your awesome belt etc. ;-) Love your outfit.

When I started blogging, it was an everyday thing too, but then I realized exactly what you're realizing.

Thanks for sharing this cute outfit!
