Weekly Wishlist: Cozy Coats under $275!

Alright guys, time for some real talk: I haven't bought a new winter coat in 6 years. Even more real talk: I have two winter coats and the other one is 10 years old. 10 years old! I got that sucker when I was 16!

Now, to be fair I've picked up jackets in more recent years, but still. My winter coats are shot to shit. The linings are falling apart, I've sewn the buttons back on more times than I can count, and they've had the pills shaved off of them about a million times. What can I say? I love them!

But guys, this is it. This is going to be the year that I buy myself a new winter coat. And ya know what? It's a good year to do it! There are so many gorgeous coats around.

The coats shown above are some of my very favorites out right now. I tend to like coats made from gorgeous fabrics, that are rather feminine, and feature lovely details. These ones all fit the ticket there!

When it comes down to it though, when I buy a coat, I'm really looking for an investment piece. I want something that's not too trendy, will look great for quite a few seasons (as witnessed by my current two winter coats!), and will keep me cozy. With all of these coats being under $275 (and a lot of them being under $200!), I'd consider any of these a great investment for the winter!

Til next time!

P.S. If you haven't seen me around your blog recently, I apologize! I came down with a nasty cold this weekend, so I've been laying low. I hope I can catch up with you all this weekend!

  1. Just bought my winter coat last weekend - apparently it can withstand up to -40 degrees. Here's to hoping this Californian will survive her first Canadian winter. ;-)

    Feel better soon!!

  2. I buy all of my coats at Goodwill or consignment stores, ha! I don't think I've ever actually bought myself a real, honest-to-goodness winter coat from an actual store. Which, you know, isn't necessarily a good thing (pre-worn stuff falls apart sometimes...)
I hope you feel better soon! Being sick is the worst.

    1. Good call! I have a few vintage jackets, but when it comes to coats, I usually mean serious business! Haha! I'm feeling much much better now. Thanks, lady!

  3. My winter coat is the only thing that isn't worn to death! It's pretty new because I never needed a winter coat until I moved to Washington. I held out for four years in college, but I finally gave in and bought one last winter because it was too cold to go out at night in Seattle in December in a rain coat.

I love the red skater coat from ASOS. Red coats are my favorite because it seems so silly to me to dress gloomy in a black or grey coat when the weather is gloomy enough as it is.

    1. Haha, that's great! We don't get as cold as a lot of the country, but man we have some cold nights sometimes!

I agree about the gloomy coats! I have one that's dark greyish brown, but the other one is light blue plaid. It's pretty great!

  13. This post is right up my alley. I'm in desperate need of a warm winter coat and I really want to spend under 300 (under 250 or 200 would be great too, of course!). I love all of these options!
